Warehouse Technician / Coatings Crew Member

Position Summary

The Warehouse Technician / Coatings Crew Member is a dual-role position responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations while also assisting with field installation of waterproofing and coatings systems. This role ensures the warehouse is organized, stocked, and operating efficiently, while also contributing to project execution in the field. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.


Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse and shop areas
  • Manage tools, equipment, and materials to ensure proper storage and functionality
  • Track inventory levels and coordinate procurement of supplies as needed
  • Perform regular inspections of equipment and arrange maintenance or repairs
  • Ensure efficient use of warehouse space to support workflow and productivity
  • Maintain records related to inventory, equipment, and safety compliance

Coatings and Field Work

  • Assist with installation of waterproofing systems including coatings, membranes, and sealants
  • Prepare surfaces through cleaning, priming, and repair to ensure proper application
  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs of existing systems
  • Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently
  • Support project teams to ensure timely and high-quality project completion
  • Follow all safety protocols when working with materials, equipment, and jobsite conditions

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients
  • Support a safe and organized work environment in both warehouse and field settings

Qualifications

  • Experience in warehouse operations, construction, coatings, or related field preferred
  • Strong understanding of tools, materials, and equipment used in construction or coatings work
  • Ability to manage inventory and maintain organized workspaces
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills for tracking inventory and reporting
  • Valid driver’s license preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in waterproofing, coatings, or specialty construction work
  • Certification in coatings or waterproofing systems
  • Familiarity with industry standards and safety practices
  • Experience working in both warehouse and field environments

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds frequently
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor for extended periods
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in confined or elevated spaces
  • Ability to work in both indoor warehouse environments and outdoor job sites

Work Environment

This role is split between warehouse/shop environments and active construction job sites. Employees may be exposed to weather conditions, noise, dust, chemicals, and heavy equipment. Work schedules may vary based on project demands and operational needs.


Hourly

Compensation

  • $21.00 – $28.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and market conditions

This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime in accordance with Colorado wage laws

Additional Information

This position requires flexibility to transition between warehouse operations and field work as needed. Candidates must be able to safely operate equipment and follow all company safety protocols. Employment with DCPS is at-will and may be terminated by either the employee or the company at any time, with or without cause or notice.
